The U.S. Basketball Writer's Association (USBWA) with Oscar Robertson

The eighth annual USBWA College Basketball Awards Breakfast to present the Oscar Robertson College Player of the Year Trophy and the Henry Iba Coach of the Year Award. Former Louisiana State University (LSU) Coach Dale Brown and LSU’s 1981 and 1986 Final Four teams will also be honored.
The Oscar Robertson trophy is the only player of the year award named after a player and presented by its namesake – in this case, the “Player of the Century.” Robertson’s involvement will be of note as this year marks the 50th anniversary of his record-breaking triple-double season. Additionally, award-winning sports author John Feinstein, sports columnist Bob Ryan and ESPN personality Andy Katz will be in attendance. Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the USBWA’s scholarship program for aspiring sports journalists and the National Kidney Foundation on behalf of Robertson.
