Public Meeting: FQ Tax Assesments

Public Meeting on French Quarter’s $60 SQ FT Land Assessments  

 
The French Quarter Management District (FQMD) is hosting a public meeting to hear from French Quarter property owners and residents regarding the re-assessment of land values in the French Quarter to $60 a SQ FT. 
The FQMD wants to hear from you on why French Quarter land assessments should not be raised.  
Councilmembers Palmer and Clarkson plan to attend the meeting.
The information received will be compiled and presented to the New Orleans City Council for consideration when it acts as the Board of Review on the issue.
 
Tentatively, a meeting is set for the Board of Review to meet on Tuesday October 16, 2012, 9 a.m., in the Council Chambers, to adopt the resolutions with final recommendations and certification to the Louisiana Tax Commission on October 20, 2012.
