The 3rd Annual NOLA ChristmasFest will kick off on Friday, December 18. The family-oriented holiday festival will wrap up on Sunday, December 27 giving locals and visiting families 10 days to experience the Christmas spirit. This year is sure to be enchanting with a myriad of dazzling holiday lights, the annual Hall of Trees featuring more than 70 Christmas trees decorated by local businesses and organizations, and the centerpiece of this year's festivities - an indoor ice skating rink which is sure to bring out the child in everyone. NOLA ChristmasFest will take place inside Hall B at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and will be open from noon to 8 p.m. This year's festivities will continue on Christmas Eve from noon to 5 p.m. and on Christmas Day from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The traditional children's Christmas Lantern Parade on Thursday, December 17 will once again kick-off the 10-day event that will also include an amazing walk-through maze, Santa's play land filled with holiday themed inflatables and rides such as the Kringle Carousel, Winter Whirl, and the Snowy Summit Climbing Wall. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take photos with holiday characters and jolly St. Nick himself. In addition, Convention Center Boulevard will be dressed in holiday décor and mesmerizing lights dancing to traditional and contemporary Christmas music throughout the entire season.
