About us:
The French Quarter Management District (FQMD) is a State entity created by the Legislature as a means for the residential and business communities to work together to protect, preserve and maintain the world famous French Quarter as a safe, clean, vibrant and friendly neighborhood for residents, businesses and visitors.
The Sanitation Task Force (FQMD/STF) is charged with examining all aspects of trash and sanitation in the French Quarter with a view to proposing approaches and solutions to make the French Quarter a model of cleanliness supporting and improving the quality of life of residents, businesses, and visitors. The FQMD/STF normally meets on the second Wednesday of the month at the offices of French Quarter Citizens, 632 North Rampart Street.
