PUfAP is convening a community process to consider alternate uses for portions of Mahalia Jackson parking facilities within the footprint of Armstrong Park. Many community members have suggested in particular that creating a playfield or playground adjacent to the Treme Center and across from the Craig School(Corner of Villere and St. Philip) would greatly benefit the school, community center, and the neighborhood, as there is a notable lack of active recreation space within the Treme.
Please join us on Thursday June 7th from 6-8pm at the Golden Feather, 704 N Rampart Street across from Congo Square for a community charrette facilitated by James Singleton, principal of the architecture and planning firm Hamilton Anderson Associates. Light refreshments will be served.
