8th Annual Lighting of the Balconies
The Royal Sonesta Hotel kicks off the holiday season New Orleans style with the 8th Annual Lighting of the Balconies. With a ceremonial "flip of the switch," two young patients from Children's Hospital will illuminate thousands of sparkling lights that adorn the hotel's massive wrought-iron balconies. A festive evening featuring: * Celebrity Master of Ceremonies Jennifer Hale of Fox Sports & WVUE Fox 8 * Performance by the multi-cultural premier vocal ensemble OperaCreole * Special appearance by Thomas Morstead, #6 of the New Orleans Saints * Members of the New Orleans Saintsations Cheerleading Team * Santa Claus, the Royal Teddy Bear, Gumbo and Sir Saint
